Where Can I Serve?

Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of this church is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation. Church members are involved in a variety of ministries from things as simple as folding the church newsletters to ministering in the jails to traveling overseas as part of mission teams.

War Room Ministry

We understand that as Christians we are in a spiritual warfare and we take seriously our responsibility to pray for one another and the world. The War Room (prayer room) is open to all and there are prayer cards available to be filled out with specific request. Our prayer warriors are standing in the gap for you.

 Blood Drives

The church is pleased to be able to host quarterly blood drives. The website and newsletters will be updated with the next drive information.

Deeper Life in Christ

Each year we offer opportunities to put into the practice of our daily lives the faith that we profess. We invite you  you to join us in these opportunities!

Youth Ministry

Our youth are important to us.We believe that they are a vital part of the church and want them to see and experience Jesus all of their life. Each Sunday we have A Moment at His Feet where children are invited to come to the front and share in an object lesson with the Pastor. This is a growing area in which we provide a nursery and children’s classes and activities. There is a place for your child and an opportunity to serve as we develop and train teachers and youth workers.

United Methodist Men, United Methodist Women, & Sisters in Spirit
These groups are made up of laity who are passionate about their walk with Christ and each other. They are committed to having fun, learning more about God, and drawing closer to Him. There is a place for you and all are welcome! The Website and newsletters will be updated with activities and meetings.

Jail Ministry
Jesus said that we are to visit those who are behind bars. Believing that we are defined by our past mistakes and present situations, each Thursday night a group of Christians go to the local jail and minister to the men and women there through Bible Study, prayer, and friendship.

Small Group Bible Studies

Often, small groups of people are better able to interact and learn about a topic than larger groups are. For that reason, our church has small group Bible studies held in member homes and at the church. The size of the group is anywhere from three to twelve people. At a time designated by your group leader you can participate in the small group study. Please look at the tab,Events, or contact the church office for more information.

Walk to Emmaus & DeColores
Both the Walk to Emmaus or Emmaus Walk and DeColores are a three day movement. The Walk to Emmaus was “birthed” in 1978 when The Upper Room of the General Board of Discipleship of the United Methodist Church trademarked Emmaus. Today, the Walk to Emmaus exist to help Christians deepen their faith in Christ and discover the grace that is given to us on our walk with the Lord. Decolores was “birthed” out of the Catholic tradition and is now interdenominational in ministry. It is a worldwide movement with similar goals and activities of the Walk to Emmaus. If you are interested in attending a walk or DeColores weekend, please contact the church office for more information.
